International Womens Day Greeting Instagram Post

International Women's Day

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we’re reminded that every woman deserves to approach each life stage with confidence, support, and a sense of possibility.

International Women’s Day gives us an opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come and the journey that lies ahead.

What began as a day recognising working women’s rights is now observed by millions, reminding us that each new generation builds on the victories of the last.

As a company dedicated to supporting women through one of life’s most significant transitions, we’re celebrating the strength, wisdom, and vibrant energy that comes with every chapter of womanhood, especially the transformative middle years.

The Power of numbers

  • Globally, women account for almost 39% of the workforce, yet they carry out more than twice the amount of unpaid care and domestic work compared to men (UN Women).
  • 1 in 4 women experience severe menopausal symptoms (British Menopause Society). If those numbers sound daunting, think of them as proof that you’re far from alone in juggling the demands of family, career, and everything in between.
  • 80% of women report feeling more confident and self-assured in their 50s than in their 20s (finishing with a more positive stat)

Despite these numbers, only 5% of women’s wellness initiatives specifically address midlife concerns. This disconnect represents both a challenge and an opportunity.

Finding Strength in Shared Experiences

One of the most beautiful aspects of womanhood is our ability to transform challenges into strengths. A recent study found that 78% of women believe sharing their menopause experiences with others has been empowering – yet 45% rarely discuss it openly.

This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the power of shared stories and feeling connected. There’s a lot to be said for feeling like you’re not alone on your journey.

Lessons from Women Worldwide

Around the world, different cultures approach midlife transitions with different perspectives:

  • In Japan, the term for menopause translates to “renewal season,” emphasizing regeneration
  • Many Native American traditions celebrate elder women as entering their most powerful years
  • In parts of India, women who’ve completed menopause are honoured for their wisdom and insight

I love the way this is positioned and hopefully we can start to see this in western cultures too. Let’s start celebrating the new  beginning

Small Steps, Meaningful Changes

This International Women’s Day, we’re encouraging simple but powerful actions:

  1. Share your story – Whether it’s with a friend or in our community, your experience matters
  2. Celebrate your journey – Take a moment to acknowledge how far you’ve come
  3. Support another woman – Sometimes a simple “I understand” can make all the difference
  4. Prioritize your wellbeing – Self care isn’t selfish, it’s essential.

The last one is one I have personally struggled with over the years..

This International Women’s Day, remember that your journey matters, your experience counts, and your next chapter might just be your best yet.
